OpenNMS Service Alarm

Madden, Joe
Hi All,

Just a quick question - Say I have a HTTP service which is going down and coming back on its own

As a result I end up with no alarm as it has self-cleared.

Is there any way to not clear this alarm automatically?

Would automations be any good?

Cheers

Joe

Hi Joe,

take a look at the clear key here: https://wiki.opennms.org/wiki/Configuring_alarms#Clear_key

After removing the clear key future alarms should remain in the alarm list.

Yes.  You should disable the "cosmicClear" automation.
